UNC Chapel Hill Traveling Science Lab
The University of North Carolina's Traveling Science Lab, "Discovery" is a fully equipped teaching laboratory for the life sciences built on a 40 foot Blue Bird CS chassis and body.
One of two identical units built for UNC Chapel Hill, these labs are able to accommodate up to 24 students and 2 instructors in a professional working laboratory.
Equipped with Corian™ chemsurf countertops, closed circuit TV, Bi-Directional Satellites for Internet access, electric heat and air conditioning, as well as twin Onan Quiet Diesel Generators. These units are built with handcrafted care and durability and have proven to be a model for success in outreach education.
