40 ft. Blue Bird Concept® CS Model 2904 Mobile Learning Lab delivered to
the Math & Science Learning Center, Rutgers University, Piscataway, NJ.
The unit goes to rural areas of New Jersey to expose young students to the
wonders of science through "hands-on" lab experiments.
External features include:
- Colorful exterior designed to draw attention to the mobile classroom
and the service it provides.
- The exterior awning provides shelter on rainy days and shade on
sunny days.
- Four (4) roof-mounted air conditioners keep the interior cool and
comfortable even on the hottest days.
- Forced air heaters inside the unit keep it warm on the coldest days.
- A wheelchair lift allows for handicapped access and
equipment/materials loading.
Internal features include:
- Interior color complements exterior graphics.
- The unit features seating for 16 students with overhead cabinets for
equipment and lab supplies storage.
- A flat-panel TV provides instructional programming visible to all
students.
- A galley area provides kitchen amenities for the staff and cold
storage for lab materials.
- Fresh water is also provided for lab experiments.
- The microwave can be used to provide hot water.
- A media components rack provides a convenient setup for all
classroom instructional media.
