Boston University's "City Lab" Mobile Biotech Lab
The 40 foot Concept All American, Boston University College of Medicines "City Lab" mobile Bio Tech Laboratory is important for being the first of its kind to support outreach education in the biological sciences. It is specially designed for grade 7-12 teachers and their students to participate in hands-on, inquiry based laboratory investigations using state of the art laboratory facilities.
Generous workstations, with support systems for educating a lab full of interested students, this vehicle is still on the road fulfilling its mission to increase community access to modern-day biotechnology. City Lab's MobileLab has generated excitement throughout the bio-tech education community and spawned many other like biolabs for institutions and programs throughout the country.
