| Bio-Tech Labs
| Institutions across the nation are looking to OBS INC. to help take their programs "on the road". Mobile classrooms for outreach education have evolved into an exciting, dynamic educational tool that can move your ideas forward without compromise. |
OBS INC. became a member of the "team" for each of these projects by listening to ideas, providing solutions, creating unique designs for specific needs, and keeping the projects on track and on time. |
 |
The success of Boston U's "CityLab" (shown
above) became widely know in the bio-science community and led directly to other equally successful programs such as these:

Connecticut's BioBus, developed and operated by CURE. Connecticut's Bioscience Center cluster was initiated to enrich the scientific curriculum at middle and high schools with unique experimental experience. This unit accommodates up to 24 students and 2 instructors. The program also provides workshops for teachers and visits to community events. |

"Your team is to be commended! From the management of the project to the little construction details completed by the crew, we always felt confident that the project would yield a product that exceeded our original expectations."

| The J. Craig Venter Institute's Mobile Bio Tech Lab is a self-sufficient laboratory on wheels, which provides an opportunity for middle school students and teachers in the Washington DC area to learn current bioscience concepts and to master the use of the cutting edge laboratory equipment found in today's research facilities. Their lab is outfitted with advanced laboratory equipment, electricity, running water and network capabilities. It accommodates 26 students, their teacher, and two mobile instructors. The workstations feature necessary equipment such as pipettes, electrophoresis supplies, centrifuges and reagents. Abord the bus, students and their teachers participate in hands-on, inquiry-based programs, and students are encouraged to explore careers and current research topics in genomics and bioscience. |
